The pier is an integral part of the owner’s $1.2 billion commitment to this two square block project on the Jersey City waterfront. EIC performed demolition of a 427 foot timber pier and site preparation for a new 385 foot cast-in-place concrete pier. The project was constructed adjacent to a congested environmentally sensitive area and waterway. The Pier includes a helipad platform and a premier, state-of-the-art ferry terminal building designed by Cesar Pelli & Associates and Adamson Associates Architects in Jersey City.
